I bought this to take on my second trip to Minneapolis and St. Paul where my daughter just started college. It's a lovely area, but I don't think the author has been to the Twin Cities. We went to a few of the shops and places mentioned and they were nothing like as described, but huge disappointments. The author assumes you are going to shop only at the Mall of America, but we were looking for small, local places. You can find out where to go from the local magazines in your hotel room. Don't wast your money on this.

I used the 4th edition (2004) of this guidebook to orient me to the Twin Cities on a week-long stay for a conference in 2006, and the book was a terrific resource. I wanted to venture off in my rental car and sightsee, and also, make like the residents eating, drinking, and appreciating neighborhoods. This urban guidebook was excellent. It really primed me for where to go, and also, I had some terrific meals along the way. Made me want to return to the Twin Cities again someday.

Samantha attends one such course in the Blue Mountains, trying to avoid being on one with the judgemental Dr Blake . . . . needless to say, he also ends up there but as the course leader! As sparks fly between the two, there's plenty of drama to keep readers turning the pages and enjoying this medical romance which I happily recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Samantha is a nurse who has relocated to Bondi Bay hospital. She's looking to be apart of the Specialist Disaster Response team and she's having a rough first day. It's something that Dr.Blake Cooper has noticed but its also that her her model like looks that has made her attractive to him. Dr. Blake Cooper is apart of that Disaster Response team and he doesn't think Samantha has what it takes but she'll try to prove him wrong.This was a pretty good book. I would've preferred for it to be longer but for the amount of pages there was this was a pretty good good, packed enough to keep things interesting. This is a good book if you are pressed for time. Actually even good for a summer beach read you can finish this book withing maybe 2 or 3 hours. So I thought that this book was interesting. I liked the character and getting to know them. I loved that attraction that was simmering between the two. I loved seeing Samantha trying to prove herself, she wasn't going to let Dr. Blake bring her down when he believed that she wouldn't be able to be apart of the team. She really did work on proving herself and didn't just take his word for it. Overall it was a pretty good book I enjoyed it.

The storytelling feels more solid, and the mystery to be better informed to us as readers. HOWEVER, there is still lack of information on motive regarding one of the victims. It's ANNOYING and I hope the author will stop doing this when she gets to the third book.My complain aside, all the characters here are likable. Lack of Boo the cat this time around but we get replacement in Princess :). Even as prickly and as grumpy as she is, Princess is fun to read simply because he makes Jake all bewildered since every other animals love him except for she.

When I went out west this summer I brought a lot of guide books with me. This book was by far the most useful. It actually brings you on a journey of Yosemite as you drive along. You will be well informed with this book about exactly what to expect on the trails and what to look for. I know I would have missed so many beautiful sites if I hadn't had this book. You won't want to go to Yosemite without it.

This book was helpful since it was to be used on a very short trip. It took a me a while to figure out when to read a note and where it was referring to. Once I figured it out it was great. You still need to rely on the pamphlet from the National Park to find your way around and since we were using it in the fall, the road conditions change. I would highly recommend you read through it before your trip and flag the items you will want to re-read. I look forward to a future trip and using the book more.

This book was fun to have along my first trip to Yosemite, and my friend who's been to Yosemite many many times enjoyed it as well. This is THE book to have inside the park.

Brave, honest and exciting. I read all 300 pages in two days, could not put it down!Mirabai Starr is in peak form here. Trust that her keen eyes and unflinching bravery will not bog us down in sentimentality. It was the most honest thing I've read all year. For that, more than anything else, I found myself in tears much of the book.I highly recommend this to anyone. Book clubs take note!
